Roderik Patijn picked up skateboarding in the late eighties, and it has shaped the way he sees ever since — a sense of rhythm and timing that eventually led him to pick up a camera, which became his profession. He works across commercials, music videos, documentary and short narrative film, building images through light and detail rather than effect.
